The islands rich tradition in professional diving is the reason for having well organized diving centers. So if you choose to come to Kalymnos and if you love extreme sports you can easily combine climbing with diving and vice versa.
Now for the not-so-sports enthusiasts Kalymnos is generally an island of great beauty and scenery, so don’t forget to visit as many villages and areas of the island as you can.
It is necessary to visit even one of the countless beaches available all across the island. All beaches either crowded or totally isolated have amazing crystal clear waters ,volcanic rocks, pebble or sand and for sure you can enjoy nature at its most.

Ways to come to Kalymnos:

From Athens International Airport(Eleutherios Venizelos)
The fastest way to get to Kalymnos is by plane,where the flight lasts 45 minutes with Olympic Airlines(OA).Kalymnos airport IATA Code is JKL.

From Kos island, via Mastichari.
The flight to Kos (IATA Code: KGS) lasts 35-40 minutes from Athens airport. When arriving to Kos g? to Mastichari port, just a few kilometers from the airport,and then take the ferry to Kalymnos. The trip with the boat “Kalymnos Star” to Kalymnos takes about 15-20 minutes.

From Rhodes island.
From the island of Rhodes you can choose between the Ferry or a smaller and faster boat to Kalymnos.Tht trip takes 3 to 5 hours. The other option is to flight to Kos or the other surrounding islands and take a boat from there.

From Piraeus port.

An exciting and authentic Greek way to travel. Travel directly and cheaper.All ships are comfortable and have enough free space for everyone.The cabins are available for up to 4 people. The journey takes approximately 10 hours.
